Description

Roast: Medium-Dark

Tasting Notes: Sweet Pecan, Graham, Chocolate

The Grind & The Origin Located in Western Guatemala near the Mexican border, Huehuetenango is perhaps the most famous coffee-growing region in the country. It is a land of extremes. Thanks to the hot winds blowing into the mountains from the Tehuantepec plain in Mexico, this is one of the only regions in Guatemala where coffee can be grown at altitudes reaching up to 2,000 meters without the risk of frost. This unique weather pattern creates "Strictly Hard Beans" (SHB)—high-density coffee that is packed with concentrated sugars and complex acids.

The Profile: Bold, Syrupy, & Complex We’ve roasted this selection to a Medium-Dark level to lean into its natural weight and richness. The result is a cup that feels substantial—"creamy" isn't just a tasting note; it’s a description of the mouthfeel. You’ll experience the deep, caramelized sweetness of Sweet Pecan balanced by the dark, jammy notes of Chocolate. It finishes with smooth Graham that makes it incredibly versatile. Whether you’re pulling it as a single-origin espresso with a thick crema or brewing it in a French Press to highlight its body, this coffee stands up to any challenge.
